i want to know at what distance does a paintball start drifting down? if set at 300 ft per second?
Snipping in paintball is not the best idea considering the round ball and the imperfections in the ball cause every shot to vary. The barrels that advertise rifling dont really affect anything.
But using any marker that is shooting at 300 ft/s will be accurate

Do not go with Tippmann, Viewloader or Spyder. they are fundamentally bad quality rifles. tippmann yes are changing, but they make them, so you have to buy multiple improvements and if the marker begins to cheap upgrades end up costing much more. If your looking for accuracy and reliability, do not go with spyder or Viewloader (VL). quality rifles as they are ill with the horrible customer service. if your marker never breaks, you can not call the company and expect customer service with the exception of a few Indians VXFK Pakistan never touched a paintball marker. go with one of these brands.Smart Parts, Proto, and planet eclipse. who will offer more reliablity and you will last forever. everyone is always error tipppmann or buy a spyder, just drop this step. do more research. If he’s going to play in the woods (woodsball), then a Tippmann is an excellent choice, they work great on CO2. If he’s going to play speedball then check out Smart Parts markers. They make decent and inexpensive entry level markers that can be upgraded as needed, they can also be used for woodsball, but they need an electronic loader and should be powered by compressed air. Check out ansgear.com, they have a good variety of gear and good prices.
