I'd like a good fly tying vise. I haven't used a rotory style before. Is that the way to go?

If you become like me and only tie your own then yes i would strongly apprise one, they are better that the old AA vices as they allow you to position your hook at a more wisely angle that is more comfortable to you. Also the vises are stronger meaning that its not so carefree
