Best tactical bag for Air Force flight crew??

My mate is in the Air Force and I want to get him a flight backpack, but I don't know what to look for in a tactical backpack. I want to show up sure he can take it on deployments and that it will hold all the stuff he needs on a soaring...any suggestions on brands/colors/prices/websites?
