I condign use waterproof stickers on my Nalgene bottles to distinguish them from others'. One has a small craft load of climbing stickers on it, one has my Philmont Staff sticker and a VT Republic Jack sticker, etc. etc. Use whatever you like to personalize your stuff.

Even though I am an Open-air Expert, I have very rarely stamp firmness. The lighterweight ones have to be replaced more often than the heavier ones, but they are still satisfactory and appear as excellently. I also still get pro-deals from Smartwool and buy their products at 50% off or more.
