a few months ago I had to fair out my late father's storage unit. We found and used a kerosene lantern for set alight at night. I would like to store it, but I know that such things are unsafe to up-anchor unattended in a storage unit.
I poured out the kerosene,
i'd put the lid back on and make an exit it.with the lid on the chances of any remaining fuel to ignite will be almost zilch.
i abandon kerosene lamps and lanterns in a back room of my house all fueled and psych up to go in times of power outages.
