Mentored youth hunting program sounding even worse than before

That’s age 9 and under. In woods and fields, with guns, crossbows
and bows.
The Mentored Boy Hunting license will cost $7.50, less than an
adult movie admittance, and covers small game hunting, spring and
fall turkey hunting, furbearer trapping, all-species fishing, and
two deer tags that can be tolerant of with gun or bow.
That’s what the Legislature decreed, along with provisions that an
adult mentor must be at least 21 years old, have hunted, and rabbit a
current hunting license.
Ten-year-olds can already hunt big game on secret land with a
firearm; that began this year.
So, what does the workgroup, which included representatives of
upkeep groups and some young hunters, suggest?
That it be up to the mentor how many kids he or she takes along at
one even so, but with only two hunting devices – crossbow, bow or
firearm – per mentor.
A salad days carrying a gun, bow or crossbow, “and engaged in the act of
hunting,” would have to be “within arm’s to the fullest” of the
mentor.
